About Us

WOSOC is a society run by students dedicated to bringing other students together and connecting them with part-time and full-time employment opportunities in the field of Industrial Relations (IR), Human Resource Management (HRM), and Management. We also work with the University of Sydney's Work and Organisational Studies (WOS) department, Business School and the University of Sydney Union (USU) to help students make the most of their University experience.

Every year, we host a range of career and industry related events such as skills workshops, guest speakers and networking events. This provides our students with the opportunity to meet with industry professionals and gain a wealth of knowledge in the field of IR and HR. Our events are designed to compliment WOS students studies and support them in their search for career opportunities upon graduation.

Our social events help students take their minds off their busy assessment schedule and exam timetables, and allows them to unwind and make new friends. WOSOC has worked together with other student societies to host a range of social gatherings such as the Sin City Cruise night, Trivia Extravaganza and the occasional BBQ. By bringing students together and encouraging them to get involved in extracurricular activities, friendships are born and the study environment within the department of WOS is among the friendliest on campus.
